Feature
Your finances, briefed on your schedule
The weekly briefing available today
Today’s weekly financial briefing brings together completed-week cash flow, a frozen Cash Outlook, and selected items worth reviewing. It is generated from the ledger, not a replacement for the live dashboard.
The Cash Outlook in each briefing is frozen at send time. When balances or transactions change later, the current dashboard can update while the archived briefing continues to show what was reported for that week.

Choose your schedule
Choose the weekday and delivery hour for the current weekly briefing. Scheduling follows your account time zone and adjusts automatically for daylight-saving changes.
Every preference saves as you change it. Delivery status stays under your control in Settings, and each message provides a direct way to unsubscribe.
Choose how much appears in your inbox
Summary mode keeps financial amounts out of the email body and describes the week, outlook, and items to review qualitatively. This is useful when inbox previews or notifications may be visible on a shared or unlocked screen.
Choose exact mode to include amounts, a forecast chart, and accessible forecast values directly in the message. In either mode, the linked review archive is private and requires you to sign in to Quaestor Ledger.

Review the week as it was sent
The email links to a private, frozen archive of that briefing. After you sign in, you can review its completed-week cash flow, Cash Outlook, insights, data-through date, and supporting values exactly as they were archived. This gives each message a stable reference point even as the live ledger moves on.
From the archive, Ask Quaestor can open with that reporting window already in context. The assistant is read-only: it can explain the archived outlook, assumptions, and important changes, but it cannot edit your ledger, move money, or replace the deterministic Cash Outlook with an AI forecast.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Briefings & Notifications in Quaestor Ledger?
- Briefings & Notifications is the feature area for useful updates from your ledger. Today, it includes a weekly financial briefing with completed-week cash flow and a frozen Cash Outlook.
- Who can receive the current weekly briefing?
- The current weekly briefing is included with an active Quaestor Ledger trial or subscription. Its schedule, level of detail, and delivery status can be managed in Settings.
- Can I choose when the briefing arrives?
- Yes. You can choose a weekday and hour, and Quaestor schedules delivery in your account time zone. Daylight-saving changes are handled automatically. Delivery status can be managed separately in Settings.
- Does the email have to include my financial amounts?
- No. Summary mode keeps financial amounts out of the email body and uses qualitative descriptions. Exact mode adds amounts, a forecast chart, and accessible forecast values.
- What is the frozen briefing archive?
- Each sent briefing links to a private review page that requires sign-in. It preserves the completed-week cash flow, Cash Outlook, insights, and supporting values as they were when the message was generated, so a later ledger refresh does not rewrite that historical briefing.
- Can Ask Quaestor explain a briefing?
- Yes, where Ask Quaestor is available. The archived review can open the read-only assistant with the reporting week already in context. It explains the frozen briefing and its assumptions without changing your ledger or generating a new forecast.
